Good Morning Everyone Leeds are in pole position to snap up Spanish attacking midfielder Samu Saiz. please log in to view this image Even though a host of clubs are after the former Real Madrid player, it seems few of them are keen to match Leeds bid of 3.5m euros, and none are prepared to match Leeds wages of 1m a year Does this show intent or is it a big risk? The Leeds players have returned to pre season training... Andrea Radrizzani@andrearadri Very please to welcome back Leeds United Ladies in our family Leeds Utd Ladies play in the Women’s Premier League Northern Division One, and will play their home games at Wheatley Park Stadium, Garforth and two fixtures per season at Elland Road. Leeds United Ladies first team will also train at Thorp Arch and wear the same kit as the men’s first team. Leeds United Managing Director Angus Kinnear said: “We are pleased to welcome Leeds United Ladies back into our family, the women’s game is growing in popularity and rightly so, there are some very talented female players in this region and across the country. “It is important that the club is represented in the leagues and we hope this move will encourage more young girls to get involved in football.”
Morning Elland and all. At last we appear to be paying wages appropriate to the size of the club. Should ensure we can compete at a different level in the transfer market. All down to picking the right players now and we likely won't know for a while yet if that's the case. So far Rad appears to be doing business the right way which will be a relief to many especially doubting Thomas's like myself Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Samu Saiz is reported - ok only Spanish press etc - as rocking up at Thorp Arch for a medical today. The films of him look like he has skills aplenty. I do hope he signs today!. Wage structure is potentially a financial issue. If we are really going to be paying one player 20k then others will feel they deserve it too, it's a delicate balance. If he really was Messi then I'm sure most players would accept the delta but...he's good but he ain't so managing expectations and ego's will be critical. Of course we should have teams across the board. The Womens team is a no-brainer. The first training session looked ok. Good to see TC hasn't lost his footballing skills either - I bet Monk couldn't have done that !!!
Morning ELM, talking about TC, did you see that yesterday Millwall signed Saville.... Yup they signed a couple of real drongo's in Wallace and Saville - they would have been better signing Wallace and Gromit.
Saville may not had been successful at Leeds but has been decent for us, just like Tresor Kandol and Steve Morison Millwall know how to get the best out of players, we also have Tom Elliott who may come back to haunt you this season.
Kandol was **** but scored a fair few goals for us and Morison has been nothing but class for us, although it was nice of Leeds to pay his wages for a good while!!
ah yes Morris Van was good at "your" level but once you start playing in a, well can we say better? league he will be found wanting
Worth every penny,to be rid m8,has he signed a new contract, just wondered with him hating your fans like.
