We were never getting Gylfi anyway so if anything it is better that Swansea want more for him as it will dent whoever (Everton's) transfer kitty if he leaves.
Probably in the top 5 LOI players at the moment which is impressive for a 19 year old. Playing in a really young Shamrock Rovers team whose scorers in a 4-1 victory at the weekend were himself, another 19 year old and a 17 year old! Have seen only bits of him so far, quite light and gets kicked around the pitch a lot! Very skilful though and a great eye for a pass. Be interesting to see how he gets on against this month in the Europa League qualifier. If he were to sign I'd imagine he'd go out on loan to a Championship club to see how he'd fare at that level
Indeed. If we want £70m for Virgil (I'd be amazed if we got that, but it doesn't mean we can't ask), then £40m seems absolutely fair for Sigurdsson.
Replacement for the expected departure of Jay Rod? https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/foot...regoire-defrel-face-competition-striker-roma/
Also important if we loose Ryan who is the main attacking threat down the wide left hand side of the attack
I still want Iheanacho! Although I must admit I have not heard of this chap from Sassuolo before so he could well be a top player.
It certainly isn't unrealistic. He is available this summer for around £20m. I'd like to think we would spend that on him as he does fit our mould in terms of age and potential. I just wonder if the rumoured buy-back clause would put us off as it would mean our potential re-sale value is limited.
Cristian Tello in talks with real betis and is available for 7 million. We have been linked with him numerous times over the the years, would be surprised if we are not looking at him. Both him and Munir have been told by Valverde they can leave. Would love us to sign either.
A dream fit on the face of it. There will be a lot of interest for him but would show great intent if we can get him. Can't see him going to a top 6 club leaving possibly us, Everton,Leicester and west ham the most likely if he stays in the premier league.
re: Iheanacho, I think he will be one that wherhever he goes all the others will look and say 'what - we could have paid that'. But the reality is West Ham are willing to pay ridiculous wages for a headline signing, and most other clubs are reasonably sensible.
Weren't we linked to Defrel last summer or am I imagining that. No thanks to Tello, bang average imo. He is rapid though
