Pretty sure that the Stephen Ireland loan to #NUFC is, indeed, off. Medical reasons. #ABFC (caulkin twitter), looks like it :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

Deal confirmed. Still, they have quite a few midfielders anyway. they need defenders and strikers to stay out of a relegation fight.

I don't recall saying it would be a travesty if you signed Ireland. He's been terrible for Villa this season.

Congratulations. You've signed an out-of-form player who plays in a position the you already have adequate cover for. I'm all made up for the cartoon army :emoticon-0148-yes:

There. feel better now you've had a, albeit facetious, compliment?

No, you didn't say that, but if you look carefully you'll actually see the thread is celebrating the fact that he isn't (wasn't) coming as if it's a great disaster for our club, then as soon as he actually signs you suggested we didn't need him anyway.

I agree with you by the way that we don't need him, but he's only on loan and is a better player than Guthrie and Smith.

I read the topic title as a question and open for debate. I was simply providing the facts by posting that it had gone through.

Very true. Smith is out injured anyway isn't he? as is Gosling i believe so suppose you could do with an extra body.
