I think our way of bringing the best players though from our academy and buying young but raw talent has paid big dividends. A lot of this is down to MP. Hugo Lloris has admitted that his reason for staying at Spurs has been Pochettino. He calls him 'the best manager in the world'. O.k. maybe he has a way to go before claiming this title, but there's little doubt in my mind he's one of the best now. Problem is a lot of these youngsters have the press and agents bending their ears about money (what else!) They convince these youngsters that they're better than they really are, and instead of staying and learning from a manager who's prepared to work with them and give them regular game time, they go off to one of the 'more money than sense' clubs and sit on a bench for twice the money. Will we buy? I expect so, but as in the case of players like Dier, it may not be who the press expects the club to buy. We certainly need to if we're going to compete in the PL, and at least put up a better show than our dismal performance in Europe last season.
He doesn't have your bank balance to work with. Given what he does have, he's done brilliantly. I simply cannot believe that Sissoko was one of his buys. I think that's Levy poking his nose into something he should clearly stay out of.
Brilliance isn't compared with being the perennial bridesmaid. Good managers win things.......come back later.
What do you expect from Skiddy? His rabid anti-Spurs bias means he can't have a sensible conversation about the subject. One can only imagine that he must have suffered some kind of prolonged sexual abuse at the hands of Tottenham-related miscreants (players, fans, staff).
Out of curiosity, what's your idea of normal sex? Does it involve having to move your partner's tail out of the way?
We`ll probably end up with a net spend of around zero again whilst spending a fraction of what the financially doped clubs and Moneybags United spend.
