I think z is saying thats up to klopp not us.

Imo however... theres prob a better deal somewhere but it really depends on what you want. We want a lcb who will never get beat in the air and is quick and a good passer... well thats vvd. But 70mil is a ln awful lot for a guy who had to go to celtic to prove he wasnt a total clown in terms of attitude.

There's several cbs out there who might be nearly as good but none that cover as many bases. Theres 100% at least 2 german options klopp might go for.

Anyway.... lb....this one will be interesting.

Bad news, bad news or bad news?

Aubameyang isn't a fan of Klopp after they had issues years ago. Can't see him considering a move here.
Keita isn't really keen on moving anywhere (hopefully that'll change if we secure CL group stages)
Klopp really likes Ox (probably Lallana MKII? A hard working, technical player who'll press and link the attack)

So it'll be Ox, Robertson and Gibson <ok>

I'm amazed we're not looking at Renato Sanches tbh

Aubameyang was a long shot anyway.

Bit gutted about Keita. Like you say might change if we qualify for CL. When do we play our qualifier?

Am I the only one that isn't that annoyed about the potential signing of the Ox? Providing we can get him for a decent price.

Leon Goretza could be available, last year of contract. Being linked with Arsenal. Good technical player to lay CM. bit of creativity and good passer of the ball.

Ox would be a great utility player for us IMO. Can play in multiple positions and gives us depth on the wings.

its only price and concern he's a crock after too much too soon.

if he were 15mil i'd say yeah take that all day, thats the rough equivalent of 5mil 3 years ago.

i've not checked (#lazysod) but don't think he has "big" injuries buts has lots of minor ones & ends up not being available for 2-4 weeks - bit like Studge

I know it's a squad game but we should be buying players that improve our starting 11, therefore moving current first team players to the bench. I seriously don't see Ox as a starter and would he be happy to be on the bench?

I just can't see what he'd bring. He'd become our next scapegoat imo.

I looked at mr ox record and its on its face for a 23 year old "not terrible" but unless you know if he was benched or he was injured you cannot tell. he's not a 30 league game a season man but he's played a lot of games for a 23 year old so i'd worry he'll blow up by 27/28.

30mil is bascially too much even n these days

I think Ox would be a solid signing, how many times did we look at our bench last season and see one or two 'names' and the rest kids or crap.
He would start some games too, LC and FA. He also has good experience in all competitions. £20m or £25m.............why not?

Surely we need to prioritise the obvious problem areas
LB , LB , LB FFS buy a LB
    CM
    CB
    then look at "extras"

He is left footed, though can use both foot. He himself says he can play anywhere, possibly interchanging with Mane.
