The way the English game is, there's no incentive for English players to go abroad because they consider the Premier League to be the best top flight in the world, so they don't need to move. Most English lad's dreams are to play for his country, after that it's to play in the Premier League.

Broaden their horizons maybe, learning a different culture, language and way of life to improve them as a well-rounded human being rather than staying cosseted in their comfort zone within a tiny, easy bubble?

Yeah fair point, they'd be penniless if they played in Spain, Italy or Germany...

You didn't mention anything about playing in Germany or Spain. You said they should boaden their horizons, learning a different culture, language and way of life to improve them as well-rounded humans.

I thought you were suggesting inter-railing.

Yeah.
I spent 120 minutes wondering how Andres Gomes plays for barcelona.
Decent game though.

Who's that idiot on ITV..."There's goals in this."

They wouldn't have scored, even if they had been playing until midnight.
