Absolutely! my system is over 30 years old but if you were to listen to it your mouth would hit the ground.
I use my set up at home to play music on digital format, but when I switch that amp to phono and lay up the needle, there is nothing like listening to music recorded on vinyl. Nothing comes close. I don't care how good digital rendering of sound gets, it just does not capture the depth that a press does.
Going to spend the day grafting in the garden when I finished my 4th coffee...... I might reward myself with a couple of jars down the pub about 6
Going round to my folks house in a bit. They bought my daughter a trampoline for her birthday, which me and my brother put together in the heatwave. Can sit back and relax now watching her bounce around, without having to do much myself. Knackered after yesterday.
I watched his Glasto set on Thursday night at the O2, mainly for the Mrs - He was very impressive, I think people will be surprised tbh.
I listened to him too but thought he was very poor. Loved Oasis though so maybe the expectations are too high
Having a few beers watching a bit of glastonbury after a **** weekend at work. Looking forward to seeing Ed Sheeran.
Same here. Considering he's the only ever person to play Wembley stadium on his own he should do well up there alone. I get he's not everyone's cup of tea but he's incredibly talented. Writes everything himself (even writes for people like Rihanna etc.) and his live looping is insane. When Dave Grohl has just said the person he's most looking forward to seeing this weekend is Ed Sheeran you know he's extremely respected in the business.
Like I said the other day, I'm a fan. Don't like all of his stufc but he's extremely talented. Respect the way he's never really attached himself to a set genre but just done his own thing. The guy is an actual musician to boot, sadly all to rare these days with 'stars' who have countless writers n instrument players etc.
Always good to see talented young and genuine musicians and composers coming through. And he is genuinely talented. As with others, I don't like all his stuff, but admire his ability and confidence to write his own stuff. P.s. To any aspiring musicians. That's where the real money is made - composing.
I had a look here and there. Fair play for headlining the Sunday armed with just an acoustic guitar. He's good, just definitely not my bag. I wouldn't buy his records.
His guitar is only the half of it. His looping is what makes him special. Everything you hear is from him, no backing songs, no drums nothing. Him a guitar, a loop mic, and about 6 loop pedals. Genius really to make everything fall into place. I appreciate his talent more than anything. Not a massive fan of some his songs, but he's clearly the best male solo artist the UK currently has.
Thought he smashed it really. Guy has confidence and charisma aplenty. Didn't realise he wrote You need me aged only 15 ... that's unbelievable That's one of his best songs imo, the lyrics and flow in it are quality. The second verse in particular is just incredible...
Agree 100%. Though it's worth noting that although he mainly does perform with just a guitar, he can play multiple other instruments too I believe. He doesn't seem like the fame/money has changed him either. Seems a proper down to earth bloke.
