The only thing that was stupid about Ehab getting rid of that manager was not doing it sooner. I also immensely enjoyed the manner in which it happened and have to grudgingly give Ehab top marks for his exploits.
Why do footballers need agents? Seriously. Can they not negotiate their own salaries? I'd rather do that than hand over 10%.
Certainly not defending Ehab, the way I heard it his "advisor" got a bit carried away when he heard Arsenal and Spurs where interested and asked for a professional contract on silly terms, hence the club didn't offer. Ultimately he should have been offered a pro deal as soon as he was regularly in and around the first team. Has Bowen been offered a pro contact yet?
Bowen was offered an extended deal as soon as he made his first team debut, but it didn't mention if it was a pro deal, or an extension to his scholarship deal.
I thought he left of his own volition. Only Barmby and Phelan were "got rid of". and I doubt many regret Phelans passing.
Debateable. He left because he didn't get what he wanted. Personally I was sorry to see him go, but he chose to. Not the same as got rid of.
And yet the vast majority of professional footballers choose to have them. If they didn't then agents would cease to exist as a role in football. So who is this blame for these 'scum', as you put it?
People on here thought Caleb Folan was ****, but his goals turned out to be instrumental in that 2008 promotion to the top flight. I reckon Dio's a better player Folan.
