If it was put to them why didn't he sign it if he was so desperate to stay here? Preferred option!!! And there we have it. The club that's looked after and nurtured him since ten. And we're just a preferred option. GTF
The problem was that the club hadn't looked after him which is why he was on the worst contract of anyone who had been in a Premier league team matchday squad last season. He obviously felt that City didn't want him with the way he was being treated.
It's a shame Pennock didn't come back earlier he may have been able to tell Ehab what a knob he was being and to give Josh the contract he deserves
I can just hear those words tripping lightly out of stretfords mouth. Did they treat him ok at 10? 11? 12? 13? 14? 15? 16?
Fergies take on pogba. Sound familiar?? “We had Paul under a three-year contract, and it had a one-year renewal option which we were eager to sign. But Raiola suddenly appeared on the scene and our first meeting was a fiasco. "He and I were like oil and water. From then on, our goose was cooked because Raiola had been able to ingratiate himself with Paul and his family and the player signed with Juventus.” The book condemns the role of agents within the game, with Ferguson describing them as "an unsavoury part of football life".
How dare you come on here spouting facts and acting all "greendragony". Posting the truth will get you marked down as a troublemaker. Carry on like this and you won't last long as dark forces operate on this forum. Be warned! Welcome btw
I do think football agents are scum. Yes, they get a deal for their client - but they are also after their own interests. The quicker these are replaced or moved out of the game the better.
What a bizarre post. If your company offered you a **** contract would you sign because it's your preferred option. This is his career ,not some part time job at Burger King.
Would you believe Ehab would be stupid enough to get rid of a manager and take us up into the Prem with a laughing stock of a squad.
Agreed. It's relative to what one would consider **** pay. Robertson leaving would mean him as first choice in the Championship, a contract should have reflected that. It obviously didn't, otherwise he would have signed it because he isn't going to Stoke because it's a class club. Harvey Rodgers rejected our contract offer to get a three year deal at Fleetwood in the league below, I honestly don't think they money we're offering our young professionals is enough.
Rodger's most probably decided that the time was rite for him to be paying week in week out so he chose that route over non first team football with us, probably on the same or less with Fleetwood but playing time will be a lot more.... More youngsters should do what he's done
Don't give him credit for getting rid of Bruce! I was happy enough to see Bruce go (he'd run his course) but he couldn't even do that properly!
Young players want to be playing games week in and week out he wouldnt be getting that here, so the move was right for him. And fair play to the lad for making the move sometimes its not all about money, its about playing time on the pitch. Not every player want to be on thousands a week playing in the reserves or being a bench warmer
If he was my agent I'd sack the bastard on the spot, telling a complete stranger the ins and outs of his business, mouthy ****er ?????
Do not have a problem with that if he had a plan for getting a proper squad available instead of the laughing stock we became and possibly will become again at the start of this season
Max Clark's just signed for the same agent that handles Neymar and Beckham, no doubt he'll be slagged off soon as well. Harry Maguire and Alex Bruce have the same agent as Tymon.
