It's in Spanish so unless you understand the language it'll be a struggle, but here's the new manager showing a day in his life managing Alaves. Worth a look and a skip through just to get an idea of what he's like character-wise, if you're interested. Seems very hands-on in training and behind the scenes. Also gives off a very confident vibe and appears popular.
Kinda withholding judgment. Don't doubt his qualities, but waiting to see how we set up before having a more definite opinion. If we play like Alaves, I'll be less than delighted; if his tactical nous is such that he can switch without missing a beat from standing off, defending deep and playing on the counter in Spain to playing a pressing, attack-heavy style as Les' statement suggests, we've got quite a good signing on our hands.
Got home and took an afternoon nap after a long week and woke up to find we have a manager . good start to the weekend. I don't think palace have appointed anyone yet despite the press saying they were close before us. I think that shows who got their man
My kids have started work on a chant - starts alright but then loses its way a bit. 'He's called Pellegrino, he's mates with Pochettino, la la la la, la la la la He comes from Argentina, he likes to drink ribena, la la la la, la la la la' I think we can file it under work in progress.
You just know it will be... "Pellegrino... woah! Pellegrino... woah! He came to join the Saints, He ****ing hates the skates!"
I am 100% sure it'll be the old Pochetino song, But now with You signed Jackett, We signed Pellegrino at the end.
