It's less after player transfer inflation than Rooney was for United and for potentially a much better player.

Liverpool will go head-to-head with Arsenal in an attempt to pull off the most spectacular and unexpected transfer in their history should Kylian Mbappe decide to move to England rather than Real Madrid.
    The French teenager is
now the most wanted footballer on the planet and Jurgen Klopp is determined to be part of the conversation should Monaco agree to sell their star striker before the start of the season.

There is a broad expectation 18-year-old Mbappe will go to Real Madrid, who have the finances to outbid any competitors. It is rare for any player to reject the overtures of the Bernabeu club once they have been identified as the number one target. It is difficult for any player to say no when Madrid call and French media have today reported meetings between Mbappe and Real coach Zinedine Zidane in which he has been assured of a starting place.

    On the striker debate...

I'd probably go for Lacazette over Pea. 2 main reasons...

    He's younger.

He won't go to afcon, meaning we'd still have Coutinho, Firmino and Lacazette during that time, so things should remain offensively strong.

    But I'd happily have either!

My personal top target this summer is Naby Keita. Guy's a monster of a CM. As good as kante imo but scores/assists more.

    Henderson – Wijnaldum

    Mane – Lallana – Coutinho

    Firmino

This was the starting attack that tore through defenses in September through November. The team looked deadly in the victories against Leicester (4-1), Hull City (5-1) and Watford (6-1). That was back when the team were convincing us that a title challenge was a possibility. Alas that never came to pass but I expect Klopp to begin the season with a lineup similar to those imperious victories:

    Henderson – Wijnaldum

    Mane – Coutinho – Salah

    Firmino

In this lineup it would be Adam Lallana as the one to make way for Mohamed Salah. Moving Coutinho inside will help the connection between midfield and attack. As he dribbles in central areas in will draw the opposition midfield freeing up space on the wing for Mane and Salah. Unless we sign a new striker I think Klopp’s default will be to use Roberto Firmino as the lone forward.

Dilemma- Good problem to have !

Tottenham are interested in signing AC Milan playmaker Suso this summer, according to reports in Spain.

Spanish outlet Marca believes Spurs and Napoli are both keen on the 23-year-old, who has just two years left on his current deal.

Suso joined AC Milan from Liverpool in January 2015 having failed to make an impact in England, but he has improved significantly since arriving in Serie A.

The left-footed attacking midfielder chipped in with seven goals and 11 assists in 37 appearances for Milan last season. You can watch him score in the Milan derby last year below.

The guy has everything - so dynamic and would give us more needed drive in midfield.

If Kylian Mbappe price is £88M, N'Golo Kanté of Chelsea have to worth more than that.

I doubt very much that any of these rumours are true. It serves an agents purpose to exaggerate interest in his player and sometimes it serves a club to be linked with certain players at certain values, even if there is zero chance of buying them.

Well Pogba cost more than Mane and Salah combined so the market is very 'loose'. <<<< add Coutinho to that too and it's still less <laugh>

Market is a game of cards....unfotunately we have far too many people with links to the club who maintain their career telling the world who we want and how important they are.....fine if your club can pay for that ****e...but we don't...if thet "love" our club they should shut the **** up.

Not including ex players etc who have no ties etc...they don't matter in their speculation any more than we do lol

He also has 1 more club trophy than the 3 of them put together, do you think there could be some correlation between the two?

Lacazette to Arsenal? Despite him saying he has his heart set on move to atletico and only to a CL playing club.

Liverpool CEO was asked about Aubameyang
Liverpool have to be confident Aubameyang will choose them given the time he spent with Klopp at Dortmund.

One fan posed the rumour to Liverpool’s CEO Peter Moore on Twitter, claiming that the Reds will recoup most of the £63m outlay in shirt sales.

Moore, who previously worked with EA Sports, had a brilliant response.

“All the profits would disappear with the cost of lettering the shirts…,” he wrote.
