Hang on a second! Which 4? Given how this is what you said earlier

The fact that all of these clubs have won more trophies than you then by your own admission they are big clubs since this is a part of how you decide how big a club is (your words, not mine) so what else decides this?
What division you're in? Because all of these teams barring Sheffied Wednesday are in a higher division than you.
Average attendance? Because you don't blow any of these teams out of the water with attendance (again barring Sheffield Wednesday)

The only thing you can boast about is how many fans you have worldwide, but for as long as you're out of the premiership (which under papa smurf looks a while yet) that number is going to at best stay where it is and the prem teams are going to catch you up as they exploit the popularity of that league in foreign countries.

Sorry mate but your having a laugh saying you're bigger than anyone other than Sheffield Wednesday on that list. But yeah, i'll admit, you are a bigger team than League 1 Sheffield Wednesday.
    Congratulations <applause>

Big club = big fanbase. And you can't dispute Leeds have that. The only clubs with more fans than Leeds are the big four and possibly Tottenham, Man City and Newcastle. History, size of city, attendances, top flight status - none of that defines a big club, those are just influencing factors. You can point to pretty big clubs who have poor histories or who are based in small cities or who have poor attendances or who have rarely been in their country's top flight. However they're still big clubs because they have a large number of fans who identify with them.

Anyway, enough of this hair-splitting, I'm off to the game to protest and then watch Leeds get tonked. COME ON UNITED! LONG LIVE THE WEST!

Leeds are a big club, but they are not bigger than any of the clubs on cheshireben's list except Sheffield Wednesday.

    you wish.

Leeds as was ceased to exist. Bates gambled by scrapping the old co and creating a new co. The new co had no right to play in the league and should have started at the bottom of the league pyramid.

TWS owe a massive debt of gratitude to the football orld for allowing them to exist, but the history of the current club is of no more relevance to the old one than MKDons can claim Wimbledons past.

So, no ground, no training ground, no history (even the old club's history was mediocre for by far the bulk of its time) and fewer sell outs than most other clubs despite the size of the City. Some big fan base there then.<laugh>

Your in company mate, either me or the boss at work has to be there every night and with him being a big Leeds fan we agreed ages ago to give each other our home games off. In an annoying twist my job role at work has changed which means both of us got the night off today, i found out 5 days ago. I almost got a ticket in the home end with him but his mate who was gonna pull out was able to go in the end.

Gutted not to be able to go!

That argument was burst earlier with other clubs hitting capacity. However, the current argument's about fan base. As you can't fill the ground even with bits shut, it doesn't really help the deluded argument does it.

I was just wondering which set of fans will be avoiding this page like the plague in a couple of hours time. I gave up on it after some dubious looking editing...
