And you clearly overrate all the players you've mentioned. Valencia better defensively? What a joke. At least Walker can claim to have been part of the best defensive unit in the league, 2 years running.

Well it's a good thing that hundreds of professional players up and down the country agree with us then, as they voted for that 'average' player to be in the PFA Team of the Year.

Azpilicueta is not a RWB and played CB all season for Chelsea, and was a conservative RB under Mourinho. He is far from the best option out there, as most Chelsea fans will admit.

Valencia had a superb season, you are quite right. What makes us certain that Walker is miles better than him defensively is that we play far more attacking, pressing football than you do. Again, I doubt you'll find a United fan who will disagree with that either.

As for Bellerin, mentioning him doesn't do anything to support your argument. Here again, most Arsenal fans wouldn't countenance selling him for less than £50m. Even Barca, his boyhood club, were reportedly willing to pay up to £45m. Bellerin was magnificent last season but had a mixed time of things this year. Kyle has been at the top of his game for 2 years running now and is such a natural athlete that he still has at least 3-4 years at his peak.

The bottom line is that the big-money clubs and their reckless spending is rapidly turning each window into a seller's market. Especially for clubs like Spurs who are financially stable enough that we don't need to sell anyone. I said immediately after you brought in Pogba for £89m that we possessed two players who would consequently break the £100m barrier if they were sold. Kane and Alli. And I stand by that.

For what it's worth, I personally rate Danny Rose more than I do Kyle. Much better footballing brain and eye for goal. Just needs to stop plunging into every tackle as if his life depended on it and he wouldn't keep getting injured all the time.

The idea that there is a ' a market value' for a player is outmoded. If Citeh come in for one of your players then they are worth whatever you can bleed out of them. They have a history of overpaying for so-so English players. If you have to sell them someone good then you can fill your boots.

English clubs get the same treatment abroad. Itsthe reward for having too much money and too little sense. You reap what you sew.

Kyle is at least equally good as each of the players that you mention, but he has one thing that none of the others do; he is English and home grown, and for that there is a massive premium particularly when City are supposedly bidding

Arsenal fans won't even agree with you on Bellerin.

Azpi is excellent but worth noting he didn't play RB this season, Moses did, Azpi was the RCB in their three at the back formation.

You say we overrate our players yet bring Valencia into the equation as to be being a better full back than a guy who's been in the Prem's best defence for the past two seasons and was named in this year's Prem XI...

Market value is about what some market can GENERALLY afford/want
to pay for something. The PL is no different in that regard to my or any other
industry. The likes of Citeh are just "outliers" .

At the moment the PL is cash-rich and that means that
market values are vulnerable to price inflation (we know you can
afford to pay X etc) , as well as usual supply and demand factors.

We're not the same poster. I swear it.
Even though our predictions for the Spurs league are identical.

Juve have released Dani Alves from the last year of his contract. Looks like he is City-bound, which is good news for us.

However, Pep will still be looking for a second - younger - RB. Don't expect the Walker rumours to go away any time soon.

It will be fun to watch the hacks tie themselves in knots, though.

"He wants to leave Spurs as he doesn't like rotating with Trippier, while at City he will be happy to rotate with Dani Alves."

Never particularly rated Alves and he is now 34 coming from a relatively slow and less frantic league. Good to see Genius Pep™ fixing the obvious failings at Man City.

Still he's better than Taxi-For-Maicon (who had made a stunning 9 appearences for Man City making him worth £333,333 per appearance for them).

If you listen carefully, every time another blog has a "Walker could be a City player by this weekend" headline, you can actually hear Levy adding another £10m to the fee.

Actually he wants to be rcl even more badly (he wishes he had
the football knowledge to have recommended signing Nasri like
    rcl did) .

We really missed a trick with Nasri. Quality player and a thoroughly likeable bloke.

Nah Alves is quality mate, always has been. But you're right - his dwindling pace wasn't as exposed in the slower Italian league but will be shown up in the PL. There is no way City will only be bringing him in. I've seen a few hacks already claiming that Alves is being brought in to 'tempt' Walker with the opportunity to learn from one of the most experienced in the game.

Correct. I would honestly punch this repeatedly without a shred of remorse. And I'm about as violent as Gandhi's pet lamb.
