It strikes me that scientists work all their life working on impenetrables, asking to be proved wrong on the basis of empirical evidence. But faith doesn't ask to be proved wrong. Faith just is. Some of us just need more than that. Don't get me wrong. My best friends are both devout Catholic. My wife and daughter are muslim. They're all certain of their faith and I admire that. It's all just beyond me.

Whether you like Dawkins or not, please read his explanations of evolution - it's awe -inspiring but still accessible and understandable. No wine or hymns or dedications of eternal subjugation are needed - just scepticism and fact-checking.
You keep using this phrase. I don't think you fully understand what it means. A wannabe atheist would be someone who doesn't want to believe in supernatural creator(s) but does anyway. Either this is some real ignorant naivity (like the Christians who believe there is no such thing as an atheist, only people who hate God so much they deny his existence) or you don't really mean what you're saying.
This was essentially my own thought process too as a 5 or 6 year old (though perhaps not as eloquently stated) He can be all knowing, all powerful, or loving; but it's impossible for him to be all three. As a 6 year old I figured that out, it puzzles me how (in xian faith at least, he is ascribed all three of those characteristics) basic logic says that's impossible. Doesn't mean there couldn't be a God, but it did mean that main parts of xianity was wrong.

She was claiming to be Muslim yet said she didn't pray but wrote letters. Wtf? You are jot a Muslim you just made up stuff On here you see people claiming to be atheist but haven't a clue about what they are arguing for or against.
