    Bardo Brown Oshea. Ricco

    Larson. Gardner. Catts. Sess

    Gyan. Wickam.

I know this won't be team, but I'd love to see it. Colback should be left out, he isn't the fighting type, we can't get bullied. Have the height with wickham, the service from sess and Larson, the battle from catts, the shots from Gardner. Solid defence too.

Colback hasn't bottled a single game or challenge the whole time he's been in the team mate, where do you draw this conclusion from?

That said, i would like to see Gardner in this one, he's a goal threat from range, and a real asset that is.

Colback in for Wickham and I think that could be right. I know Antony had a good game at the weekend but his lack of concentration/idiocy could crop up and that worries me.

Not saying he's bottled anything mate. The first half verses liverpool, he didn't actually touch the ball I don't think. When things are bad, I think he goes missing that's all. I don't think he is what he's cracked up to be. I mean he don't do nothing wrong, but apart from the odd sidewards or backwards pass, what does he do right? I hope he proves me wrong.

Richardson should play wide left (IF HE PLAYS) as he's a liability at LB. Also Ferdinand is a liability and he was very lucky to get away with Carrol's "goal" as he completely missed the flight of the ball. Might have to play Bardo at LB in this one if O'Shea is still out injured and I would deff' have Gardner in the starting line up....that's a MUST!...

Yeah but Claude Mackele protected his defence, intercepted passes, won tackles and broke up play. Your talking about 2 exactly different players. If colback done all of that too, then yeah very good player. But 5-6 sideward passes a game don't get me exited mate.

I think you might find that you are very much alone with your opinion of Colback John. For me, the lad is every bit as good, if not better than Catts. He's got a big heart, a great engine on him and a very good range of passing. Granted, he didn't do very well first half at Anfield, but that had a lot to do with Liverpool players targeting him. He was much better second half and is going to take some shifting from the starting line up if he maintains his current form.

Disagree with a number of things

firstly Anton and Brown have looked good as the CB's so wouldn't change that

Sess is most effective in the hole

Ji deserves a start before Wickham

I was alone on my brown views aswell mate so I'm not worried. Tell me why would liverpool target colback? He's not exactly lampard or messi? Lol. A big heart, what good is that? How many tackles did he make? How many interceptions? How many blocks? What does that massive heart provide. Tell me mate, has colback created one goal for us? Just one?

Cattermole is the heart and sole of our team, keeps us going. You have a strange view my friend.

I think we've hit the time whereby any team we put out with a full squad we can get something from the game. Personally I'd like to see Gardner and Catts in the middle but it'd be harsh to drop Colback. What was he like on the left preseason? Would Colback-Catts-Gardner-Larsson work? If not I'd be tempted to put Sess onto the left and start Ji. Heard good reviews about him and scored a good goal preseason. Could be the unknown spark that could rattle Colo & co.

Quality defender but not match fit yet. Had a long injury. Plus Anton looked very good alongside the legend that is Wesley Brown!!

To be fair mate, a lot of people could/should say that about your views.

How many times do we have to say it and in how many games does to have to show us.

    RICHARDSON is not a LB.

Also, Colback and Catts seem to have an understanding which we wouldn't get from introducing a new CM in such a high pressure game, Colback is a cracking player, neat crisp passing, never bottles out of a tackle and as a local lad, the occaion would give him that extra 5/10% to his game which could make a lot of difference.

    My team.

    Ming
    Bardo---Brown---Ferdinand---O'shea
    Vaughn---Colback---Catts---Larsson
    Sess
    Gyan

With our favourite Korean to come on in the last 20 minutes to run at the mags defence (that should **** them up), and Vaughn on the right to give us a bit more creativity than Elmo gave us on Saturday. If we're chasing the game, bring off Catts and throw in Gardener.

But thats just me, so **** knows what SB will do.

dont think your team is far of but i personaly wouldnt put o'shea in, he hasnt played in god knows how long so he cant be ready for a start in a high tempo derby!!

edit: i reakon he should have a couple or one at least games with the second string, just to get him up to speed

    Gyan Ji

Would love to see this , Will never happen like. IMO bruce will pack out the midfield and leave Gyan upfront on his todd.

Granted its the Mags but we have a better Team , at Home . GET AFTER THEM

A half fit o'shea over a fully fit richardson???? I'd pass O'shea his boots if I'm being honest.

but in seriousness, it's a fair point.

i do know what ya mean tho i cant wait for him to start cause i think he will be quality for us, but i would rather wait that little bit longer and make sure he is 100 percent fit, rather then risk him being ****ed for ages.

also if he sticks him in too early especialy in a derby and he has a mare, the crowd has a chance to get on his back and then bang! he is the new richarson haha

i've been through about 20 different formations and changed the midfield about 20 times but i think we'll start with the 11 that done so well at Anfield, h'way the lads! For the 1st time i'm starting to get nervous and don't think i'll eat after thursday

The best thing about all of these posts is the number of options we have. Every team mentioned would be excellent.
