I'd take him more seriously than the suggestion of a supernatural creator. Not somebody who I have a lot of time for though, in general.

The question is fairly clear I think. Granted with other comments in response to me I think you've just misunderstood the points I've made. For example you talked about being materialistic in response to me talking about social attitudes changing to become more liberal and to favour a system of governance not dictated by religion.
