No, but it makes theism factual. People do believe in gods.
Christians are factual. Muslims are factual. Jews are factual.
It says nothing about the beliefs of those religions.

They're not disagreeing with me, though. They're disagreeing with what words actually mean.

I'm not sure how you can have a fundamentalist in something that only has one belief i.e. that there's no such thing as God.

I think the term is applied by religious groups against some of the more vociferous atheists out there, who soap box their views.

Come off it <laugh> The religious leaders are there to inform policy from a religious point of view.

And Khan isn't an MP so has no say in government policy at all.<laugh>

They form part of the legislative process because they are community leaders, respected individuals.
But there is no religious legislation going through parliament, the bible is not regarded as our law book.

We don't live in a secular state I'm afraid, so you're wrong there.

The Monarch pledges to uphold Christianity for a start off...

In order for that to be true, it would have to have tenets of faith and instructions on behaviour.
You're simply saying that people like it, so it's like the Bible.
Are there also fundamentalist Harry Potter fans?

Then it becomes tit for tat and the point is lost surely? thats my experience with those that dont but ridicule beliefs. Alot of posters on here that obviously dont follow a faith..however they are top posters and i have a daily laugh and alot in common with them with our day to day lifestyles...indeed they are my bwais.

The above 3 were how i categories a person, once religious talk starts. It's how i see it, i understand if you dont follow a faith then you feel the same threat from someone who does, if that person is being a dick, ill rephrase it <ok>

Perhaps, but still a requirement of monarch to be a Protestant Christian.

Not sure if things have changed since I were in school in England but I remember church visits, prayers in assembly and singing Christian hymms.

My view on it is neither here nor there, you were wrong to say that we're not a secular state, as we currently are. That's it.

Atheism is a claim about God, in the sense they claim God does not exist we came by chance, something out of nothing...not a fact..

For you to claim there is no proof god exists, first you have to define what proof you are looking for in the first place not Dawkin's and so on but you as a person, what is proof to you and have to be honest about it, this isn't about winning an argument at the end of the day there will be people that wont believe and there will be people that do believe.

No. But they treat it as infallible truth and his followers quote from it.

The only way Harry Potter fans would be the same is if they literally believed in those works and quoted them to defend their outlook on life.

    Atheism isn't a claim about god. It's a rejection of a claim.
Theists say that god/s exist. Atheists don't accept that claim.

You're attempting to reverse the burden of proof, because you can't support your claim.
It's a very old move and it's been done to death. I'm sure you're familiar with it.
