I'm not his biggest fan but I'd just like to commend him for jumping in AVB's defence. We are much maligned by the media as you may well know and the media are looking for any excuse to unsettle and undermine our new manager and players. They did a similar thing with John Terry and Modric. Thankfully he was able to see through media lies etc and fair play to him, he has certainly gone up in my estimation.
Thanks DL - when did you sign Modric by the wayb! Mr Scnieder (SP) has got to be your man IMO. I really thought that your (initial) ascendancy over Man Utd was to a large extent down to Essien, when fit an IMMENSE player - probably at the time the ONLY player thay could have replaced Roy Keane.
& thank you too District Line for actually going in a roundabout way too try & take the piss. I remember you off BBC606, shut the **** up
District line, We DO appreciate your comments and Huthy behave please In this instance, T.P. was quite right... AVB didn't say anything negative about Stoke City during the interview I saw. He ONLY said what the likes of SAF and other managers have... "Stoke is a hard place to get a result " He seemed happy enough with how Chelsea went about things, especially 2nd half. He seem's like a decent guy to me.. Good luck to Chelsea too!
Sorry what I meant was that they basically asked John Terry what his thoughts were on Modric and JT declined and said it would be disrespectful to Spurs to talk about their player, the media of course twisted that and said that JT had accused Modric of being disrespectful to Spurs
No problem, I think Stoke will have a good season this year, already in Europe and your squad has a lot more depth to it, best of luck this year
Cheers Pottermouth, I am getting fed up of the media trying to play managers off against each other, they did it with Rafa Benite, Sam Allardyce and SAF a few years ago and it is nauseating. It was good of TP to stick up for AVB and having the sense to see through the media lies. Media are already giving AVB a hard time
Sadly it isn't right now. We only have 2 fit forwards, 3 wingers (only 2 of which Pulis is willing to play). We are in desperate need for some signings but it sounds like (according to a Mirror journo) we're waiting for Spurs to sign replacements for Palacios and Crouch before we can get anyone in.
