Do you think they wanted a bigger name perhaps, they got turned down, so they've lowered the role and found someone else?
Club Statement: Lee Darnbrough 29 May 2015 Burnley Football Club can confirm that Lee Darnbrough, Head of Analytics and Talent Identification, has left Turf Moor due to a restructure. Lee, who joined the club in December 2012, worked closely in tandem with former Chief Executive Lee Hoos and manager Sean Dyche in transfer business, contract negotiations and performance analysis. The former Oldham Athletic goalkeeper has previously worked in player analysis for Bolton Wanderers and Aston Villa and later enjoyed a spell with West Bromwich Albion in the specialist role of recruitment. Burnley Football Club would like to place on record our thanks to Lee for his efforts and wish him well in his future career.
So another ex keeper, are they really trying to figure out the problem with Marshall? Seems a bit extreme.
The whole thing sounds odd. Failure everywhere else so we employ him. Another crazy ill thought through mess.
Now that's one thing us long suffering City fans are experts at Fez, hope!! It must be in our DNA! Hope also, that we get some players in soon, otherwise there'll be more Chiefs than Indians.
We're doing things on the cheap. Getting in anyone who can't find a job. The Slut will be gone in January as we head to league 8.
At least they seem to be getting personal in place in reasonable time, hopefully players will start to follow now.
He will only be allowed to offer transfer fees and contracts that the owners and manager allow him.i reckon he will do all the paperwork and such like to save the owners from having to do it
It's apiece of piss of a job though isn't it. Paid to go and watch football and recommend players. Worra job.
Has he failed? Burnley got promoted with his signings, and I thought Norwich looked nailed on for promotion last year when managing to keep hold of Brady and Klose, whilst also signing Pritchard.
He's been sacked by his last two clubs, so yes. I hope he does better with us and quite frankly, he can't be any worse than dipshit Ehab, but his track record so far has been poor.
