I am genuinely curious, not trying to wum. So is this what you are doing with the "period" repetition? - not every 28 days for this one

An ellipsis (plural ellipses; from the Ancient Greek: ἔλλειψις, élleipsis, "omission" or "falling short") is a series of dots (typically three, such as "…") that usually indicates an intentional omission of a word, sentence, or whole section from a text without altering its original meaning

Even from the sentence I quote here, there are no missing words or sentences that I can see? Is it something that you can't stop?

  10. You are quite right to refer to Bambi as a "grammar Nazi."

I've always seen him as Josef Mengele, what with his habit of butchering the Queen's English.

I do it mainly as a differentiator - you can recognise one of my posts quite easily. Of course there are missing words or sentences ... could have written paragraphs in between the dots without raising a sweat <laugh>

You clearly didn't learn you just put ... at the end of a sentence to appear clever.
    It backfired spectacularly BTW.
