Spot on observation. And I know not everyone will agree, but I reckon Cooper, given game time, will be as consistent as Bartley. We also have Diagouraga back, who I still reckon is our best DM. If you look at the squad below, most of them will be given a chance to shine, the only exception being Bellusci (I hope). Not sure if Murphy will make it, & doubt if Erwin will. That leaves 21 of the 24 man squad below. Are there any others that we are desperate to offload? I'm not so sure, but I think we'd need to bring more players in than ones we let go. Personally, I'm just hoping that Mallik Wilks & Eoghan Stokes from the u23s get a chance to impress. They might not be ready for regular first team football, but hope they get their big breakthroughs. So you've only lost 1 player from the team that only won 1 of your last 8 games - what a relief!! Thank fook you have an experienced manager to steady the ship.
Only lost 1 player from a team who finished 7th.Something wrong between manager and players, last 8 games.should be sorted now. where as your team is worse now than last time you went down.
Interesting - I am sure if Orta had said we are going to spend £50 million they would have believed him and be doing cartwheels
They told everyone their plans... Some of us have stuck around long enough to have seen/heard this sort of stuff before. Last time it took us to league one.
I see Davis caved in yesterday. Trade talks not taking place till after divirce sorted, and the eu have said dont expect any favours. If it was a boxing match the ref would be stopping it...
Your suspicions are understandable after the string of liars, crooks, and con men we have had running the club. We are back in the familiar position of having to wait and see if at last we have someone who wants to run a successful FOOTBALL CLUB.
Chesh. I think for me it's more that we first had one mad ****er trying to run the club like a one man band and we kept finishing lower table. We seemed to learn the lesson and employed a manager and let him run the football side of things. Not all signings worked out but we had our best season in years. I was genuinely excited that we were going support the to build on that and have a real go at promotion. Instead it's all changed again to a continental set up, DOF, coach with no experience of English football, who replaced a man that managed in the prem. It may work but it just feels like taking a chance all over again rather than progressing further on last years good season.
Is this the Brexit thread? I understand they had a nice lunch yesterday, so anyone who says Davis got nothing from the meeting must be an Enemy Of The People
I apologise for talking football but truth is we do have to wait and see. Leaving aside owners with millions to burn, any other owner is going to say similar things at this stage. I don't feel good about it though, it has the feeling of more of the same. But, as I used to say when we were promised the earth, it's not the words spoken that matter, ultimately, it's the actions taken
