How about the Northern Irish manager assisted by Kelvin Davis with Steve Davis as club captain? I believe that would help the club to reconnect with the fans.

If appointed and if he has Saints playing in the manner of Alaves he will be toast by Christmas! Two bad results at home would have the fans turning on him very quickly.

And Coleman got Wales to the Euro 2016 semi final. And he's been mainly **** at club level.

I can't lie I don't follow football as much as some people here but is Pellegrino really the best we can do? Pochettino had already turned things around and displayed strong characteristics at Espanyol, I don't see that whatsoever in what I've read about Pellegrino.

This isn't a step up from Puel and I doubt Puel was clambering to get away so i don't understand quite why all this is happening.

This is the way of the modern world. People just what **** everything up. We never should have sacked Puel and we shouldn't writhing like manic ducking lemmings.gs jumping over a cliff for brexit. The lunatics really have taken over the asylum.

I made the suggestion because I really cannot believe that the core of the names that have been mentioned are a level up from Puel. And if it is Pellegrino, I fear the club will struggle to pull in 30,000 for the opening sequence of home matches as the "wannabe" fans will wait for results to be delivered before committing hard cash to supporting Saints in the stadium.

If I lived in the area I would be one of those fans waiting to be convinced. By all means call me a fair-weather fan but I part with my cash going to football knowing I will be entertained. The football that was served up in the Adkins era was just subliminal, even when Saints were not winning. That was certainly the case from 2009 until the end of 2015/16 and from what I have heard, the level of entertainment has been patchy since. So I feel the punters will wait and see what unfolds.

I often came away from a match not knowing what had happened, but I knew it was good

Pochettino was sacked with Espanyol bottom of the table after picking up just nine points from 13 games.

My gut feeling is that we will sign a new manager, Palace will sign their new manager and within two months we will be wishing we signed whoever they signed.

He took over with them bottom of the league, brought through lots of youth players and dramatically improved the clubs performance. The board then sold all the players he brought through and they were sh*t again. He did a brilliant job at espanyol and that was recognised by many; not so much over here but certainly in Spain.

Correct. Amazes me what short memories people have or incorrect impressions of past events.
