Maybe the two clubs should merge. There's an idea.

Well IF BIG IF he does then its a strange one. Flies in the face of everything that Adam P has been saying.
Will watch this with interest to see if it happens. The only other reason would be that he has fallen out with the Allams and from what i saw at Ipswich that does not appear to be the case. They appear very happy to be in bed together. (not the sleeping bed  may i add, just a turn of phrase) :emoticon-0100-smile

GARBAGE. But your reply is just typical of a Leeds fan who only has there history to look at as the Future looks bleak to say the least ? Will you be protesting again tonight by chance ? You need to think more before you reply. But to give you a clue as to what i refer let me say this. If Grayson and Leeds are pointless at the end of August then a large amount of your support will be baying for blood. Bates and Grayson no doubt. Last season is now history and the 7th place finish would mean nothing at all to the protesters. As i said Football these days is only in the Now.
Win this week you are world beaters and lose the next you are rubbish. History i am afraid has no place in the modern game. Blame the media and instant glory brigaide if you want.

Anyway must go as i have a match to get to tonight. Toodle pip for now. Hull City to in 2 - 0.

OLM has got it spot on. Leeds were a big club. WERE. No longer and just an average if that club now. Your history did not stop Leeds sinking into league one nor getting back up did it. Your Revie glory days are long long gone. Get used to it as they wont be back.

Depends if you take Leeds City into account or not, apart from the changed name we are to all intents and purposes the same club.

Not this bollocks again. Same football club, but controlled under a different name.

There are many Leeds fans (including me) who would say that given the opportunity Sam and Nunez are capable of doing just as good a job as Gradel and Howson. As I said, Sam kept Gradel out of the team before he picked up quite a bad injury.

It's all subjective but I would point out that McCormack has a better scoring record at this level than Fryatt, McCormack has scored an average of 1 goal every 3 games in this league, Fryatt 1 in 4.

Don't talk ****. 7th biggest overall following of an English club and 13th highest attendances, despite top 4 level prices, is much better than "average" even if you ignore history, which you can't. Our history isn't going to win us anything, but history is part of what determines a club's size.

I like how you included clubs that one half/all their trophies before we even existed <doh>.

    Dammit!! haha

Nah it's not much of a debate, i was trying to point out that it isn't worthwhile debating who out of yours and another team's squad you'd take, because we'd all take every team's better players over our worse ones and we'd all back our better players over all other teams'.

As proven by the pages and pages of Hull and Leicester fans arguing over this and getting nowhere.

Indeed, Leeds City started in 1904, at the same as Hull City, though if you're having Leeds City, I'm having our former incarnation of Hull Town, which started in 1879, so we're now a much older club.

We had a very nice shirt back then too, a proper itchy wool number:

If Sam was as good as Gradel he'd have gone back in the team when he returned from injury.
It's all well and good saying that Nunez and Sam are capable of doing what Howson and Gradel do but if i go and ask 100 Leeds fans which 2 they'd rather see play tonight, i bet nearly all of them say Howson & Gradel. Which would prove my point, since what i said was "you're undoubtedly weakened without them" referring to all 4 of your absentees tonight.

But by the same token Gradel then kept Sam out of the team with his performances. While I would rather have Gradel and Howson, Sam and Nunez aren't really much of a step down.

I'll take your word for it, though can i reiterate all i said was that you're weakened without them... which you've just implied you agree with...

    Anyway, 0-3 for me.

The Leeds City kit was essentially carried on with our away kits, although for some reason we went with green for one season. Looked Leeds City up on wiki and found this about the new ameteur team <laugh>: "In 2011, Leeds City FC played a friendly against Langho FC at The Rhyddings, home of Langho FC. They were on the receiving end of unquestionably one of the greatest hatricks ever scored in football history. Jimmy Tyldesley found new lease of life in a free role handed to him cutting in from the left on many occasions. His first goal was a 25 yard curling shot that found the top corner and left the keeper looking very very silly. His second was a from a similar distance, having picked up the ball 25 yards out he proceeded to drive the ball goalwards into the top corner. The third came in the second half after a swift Langho counter attack, Tyldesley burst through the defence like a blooming summer rose and found himself one on one with the keeper, giving him 'the eyes' he dinked the ball over the keepers head. Think Messi. But better."

We are weakened, but not to the ridiculous degree some of you seem to think.

You're hardly impartial though, are you. We're bigger than at the very very least 4 of the clubs you posted.
