I'm not sure what to think of it all if I'm totally honest. No matter who we sign we'll all have a bit of a bitch but we all know everyone will be behind the team on the first day of the season. Gradually but surely the club is getting less complicated, GFH we're fool enough to step in and rid us of Bates, Cellino was a nightmare but he did improve us although far from being the ideal guy. Now it seems we have Mr Sensible, he might not prove to be our saviour but I wouldn't mind betting if we were put up for sale 12/24/36 months from now we'll be a lot more attractive to buy. Cellino came in and stripped us bare, Rads is putting a few building blocks in place and we do need them. I did like the bit about Thomas having the final say on signings though. We were spoilt last season with a group of players just ticking and we were batting well above our station. Monk isn't and never will be a good coach, Monk needs Clotet more than we probably realise, maybe this Thomas guy will get the best out of a few who under performed last season.
There is a yet unanswered question which balances this somewhat - why didn't Radz activate Monk's extension & either fcuk him up, or, more pertinently for this response, get some compen for shafting us. Will forever be a puzzle to us all.
I did like the bit about Thomas having the final say on signings though he should have the first say not the final say
no, correct that it's final say ... this allows the club's scouting setup to help identify the right players ... we're not little Millwall who offer used tracksuits and punctured balls as transfer collateral ... it's ok for Harris to go and have first say on some clogger who plays for the Duck & Dive pub on Hackney Marshes ... at Leeds we have a proper setup Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
My immediate thought was that it's a get out of jail free card for Mr Orta. If TC approves the players offered it's on his head not the backroom team if they fail to deliver.
I always hope for the best but we have had what 15 years of dodgy owners, that isn't going to be fixed over night. One minute I am excited by this new guy the next I full of dread so we can't do anything but hope
Always scores a bag full against you losers, put a tenner on him for more than 20 goals this season.or 30 goals if we play him against other teams and not just millwall.
1) Rads I need two CB's and a Creative midfield player 2) Here you go TC we have found you/can afford x,y,z, 1,2,3 which three would you prefer 4) I'll take Y and 2 but you need to do better on the others
So we're limited to signing players who are not motivated by money and want to just play for the club. Also if players like Wood are offered better deals elsewhere we won't be trying to compete and hold onto them. Can some of the positive joes on here please explain to me how that's an improvement on the past 15 years. And please don't mention the back room team, they've been well documented
Wait and see is all we can do Eire. And don't forget the back room team. Sorry didn't have anything else. Apart from millwall will be ten times worse than us for sure.
We needs BS back on here to post some positivity (that Billys Statue and no bull **** to avoid any confusion)
Have to be honest and say, the excitement and anticipation for the new season has gradually ebbed away over the summer. Feel like we're starting all over again with a new experiment rather than building on the progress of last year.
