Did you put up Info? I didn't see. Looked like your tip. That's not what I was referring to. Very touchy. I didnt realise the world revolved around you.

I don't back info on here ever. Lear t years ago that's a very quick way to losing lots of money.

I don't care if people put up losing choices. Anyone who says they win every bet is talking bollocks. I do think it's daft to put up 'info' which will attract more support from readers on here. Just my opinion.

Surely people apply their own 'filter- to posts on here , most are folks fancies , the info can be right in terms of a plan , but we are dealing with animals and things often don't go to plan , otherwise there would be no bookmakers etc , who can forget Chelsea and his litigant info 40/1 and absolutely certain!
Many many great spots by people and then there is the bumper king ,who is unrivalled in such events , so if you are that scep tical of others why engage on here ? Apart from to show your superior knowledge ?

Do you just back them blindly then just because someone says it wins? Quick way to the poor house that is. It's a forum where the majority of us are all strangers to one another so why would you just take someone's word who you don't know and spend your money? We know full well that there are trolls/wums on here who post horse 'tips' so you should always make your own mind up.

Even with someone like Stick who has an excellent record of picking winners and has posted plenty, I've missed loads of his by not fancying them myself and not just backing them because they've been posted on here. Could have won plenty more money but at least I can honestly say everytime I've lost is because I've made the choice

I hate this negative bitching about people putting up tips that don't win, it's a tipping forum for Gods sake! It's up to you to decide if you thinks it's good info and worth wagering on, no one's putting a gun to your head.If this is the way we should go going forward we will have no posters left as folk will be reluctant to share tips cus of the backlash if it doesnt win.A bit more postivity please!!

I'm going to upset Bob by aftertiming a winner. A very good mate of mine now has a horse with O'Meara and texted me Bravery on the morning of the Lincoln. The text was that it was fancied by the yard but ew stakes recommended. It won at 20s, my mate got on at 33s, happy days. I did consider putting up on here but I didn't because it was the first info I'd had from that source and didn't want to look a tit. Sorry folks. I don't mind looking a tit tipping up my own stream of losers though <laugh>.

We must have a totally different definition of 'info' Rudey. You seem to be confusing info with what I would call hard work and knowledge. The two are completely different and hard work and knowledge is exactly why I come on and engage on here.

fair comment bob , info should be what it implies , although many have qualified the need to be circumspect depending on the source, i concur that your fancies are your own based on knowledge and ' many hours accumulated of study ' -- not your flippant scan of some on line tipper , i think the mainstays on here are of the same ilk , many years of experience and an ability to separate wheat from chaff , yes we all get it wrong sometimes , but in general , if respected judges make a good case , i think we all benefit from their views , even if we never back them !

It certainly looks as though the world revolves around you; you're a nasty sob, to put it mildly. So I guess they are all 'tips' as such, and whereas I do not have your vast horseracing knowledge, I do try, and will admit to having more time in retirement to study form than you do.

However, if you think the world revolves around me, then I don't mind!

I said this before and I’ll say it again in my opinion most of the supposed, or alleged, inside info on here is a load of made up tosh. And I think the mods should take down any post that says ‘I’ve been told’ unless it is backed up with information about by whom and how you heard this. Whether it wins, loses or draws after this is immaterial as the poster has passed on what they have heard in good faith – what happens after that is in the hands of the Racing Gods.

In recent weeks Stick, Don and Grecian Mick have done this brilliantly. A simple, concise and to the point paragraph of what they know or have been told. Who could ask for more.

A lot of the moans seem to revolve around one post and I don’t think that Heisenburg advice (‘Deben 4:55 muss Wins’) should not have been allowed to stay up. It obviously should have been followed with the words ‘in my opinion’ or ‘I believe’. Whilst I’ve just seen he tipped Fred Le Macon. This one used to be trained by Alan King and do you know what his ‘role’ in the yard was. An educational horse for the young and aspiring conditionals to learn off and get a feel for racing riding from as he was such a docile old boy– its why on so many of his runs he was ridden by such a jockey. Is past his best and is no longer up to it even off a low handicap rating so why he thought this was such a good thing I've no idea.

Agree with one exception. Yes, of course, people should be able to put up tips without fear of ridicule. But what I object to is people putting up made up nonsense along the lines of 'I've been told' or 'wins' without any sort of back up. Misleading lies is the only way it can be described and is surely something that surely no-one wants.

Thought you'd decided you weren't for this place any longer?

Not sure why you continue to try to make this about you.

I have no idea what you're like in general as I almost never read your posts but clearly you're no fan of mine.

Just a last point and question?

What part of me saying I think people who put up 'info' which is unsubstantiated and clearly way off the mark is 'nasty'?

If you follow it all blindly then I can see why you'd want it to continue but if you're like me and think it's unfair to mislead and waste peoples money especially in such an addictive sport with so many problem gamblers then i'm not sure how I'm so nasty.

I actually think you've been so venomous because you misunderstood my first post then instead of just being honest and saying so you decided to dig your heels in. You obviously didn't like it that I said you think the world revolved around you but how else can an objective person take your original post?

Fair enough, initial post was indeed misguided anger. The main person being criticised on Saturday (I think I have at least got that right) is a busy doctor in the UK emergency services, so I understand. He passed on the tip in good faith and quite probably in a rush, because he could well have been occupied and on duty at the time? He has given some pretty good stuff in the past, if I am not mistaken. As for my efforts, I'll take all the eggs and assorted vegetables chucked at me, no problem there.

However, in this instance, I handled it all wrong, and have to be contrite about that. No more from me, I promise. :emoticon-0100-smile

(Carry on enjoying Royal Ascot, everyone, been great so far).

    Absolutely, EOS!
