Can't see anyone paying what we want for van dijk. Imagine, just for a moment, if we didn't sell anybody we didn't want to and actually invested good money. After what we have achieved each season after losing our best players just imagine if we kept them.
Not for a World class CB, No. But Teams aren't going to want to pay that on our terms. ie, More up front than clauses.
It is for a defender. That is an astronomical fee for a CB. Not saying no one will pay it but that fee is near what Real paid for Bale and Ronaldo.
Even them prices aren't that much these days. Real look like buying Mbappe for £100m +, the prices have gone up.
I get that prices have changed but £70m is still considered a huge fee and we won't see many clubs spend over that on a player this summer, especially a centre back. I'm confident he will stay another year now Liverpool are out of the question.

So what about Wimmer from Tottenham? Levy is asking a bit too much, but if we could lower the fee to about 15 million at most i would be all for it. Relatively young, knows the league, had a good run in a strong team.
