I'm back from my old ancestral homeland today actually...scorching 40 degrees in Andalusia yesterday..60 dead in forest blazes in Portugal..roasted in their vehicles...tragic. I was in Bilbao,for some very good news from our notario,Toledo for a couple of days then Cordoba and then our bolt hole...Gaz,don't take this the wrong way but do you holiday in Benidorm perchance?
Had a right session in Ayamonte last night Stick...Pupa,La Casona etc...finished at 12...up at 4.30 Spanish time to get to Faro...when you back there?
I'm in Torremolinos Dexter. Run through to Benalmadena (don't let Corbyn know about empty flats in the marina) and pub crawl back most days. Benidorm in October tho.
We are going to have to meet up there some time. I love La Casona, like sitting out the back! Back there in November and moving out full time in February!
I must admit the heat was too much these last few days...I only have an electric fan in the gaff bedroom...defo getting mini air con next summer..Bilbao has more or less the same climate as here..temperate largely.

How much is a beer Gaz?..as a rule the North is about twice as expensive as the South...Ayamonte is on average €1.20 for a small beer..oop in the Basque Country its €2.50 0n average for the same serving.
Pints are between €1-€3 for local beer. Couldn't possibly order a small The Dutch bar had Hoeggarden for around €3.5. The places we go tend to have long flat promenades that are good for running so Costa del Sol and Benidorm suit.
