The deal will be a huge coup for United. Having the current best player in the planet. I have no doubt that at €150m (or even£150m) it would be a bargain for United. Especially as they are now firmly in the CL.
I'm sure I read something at the beginning of the year where JM hinted at a 'surprise' signing this window.
If I were a player and I had a choice between Premier and French Leagues, there is absolutely only one choice. No disrespect, but no one watches French League with passion apart from people in France. I don't Ronaldo going to PSG unless he is looking for mega payday to finish off his career.
The flip-side of that argument is - if you believe the press - that he wants 'new challenges. He won everything there was to win with us, so the PL hardly represents a new challenge for him. He needs to be careful though, the papers here are being merciless with him and if this story doesn't sort itself out soon he won't be welcome back at RM, particularly after he had a go at the RM fans for booing him.
Seems an awful lot of dough for a bloke who has done next to nothing and won't necessarily suit the style of play or league/country. More logical to me to pay the extra £20m or whatever it would be for Kane than either Morata or Lukaku.

This is just Ronaldo throwing his toys out of the pram. I honestly don't see this happening. And if it happens, I think it would be stupid to pay the amounts that the papers are talking about.
I rate Gianluigi Donnaruma, He's going to be world-class in the next year or so in my opinion, I'd take him if David De Gea leaves us this summer.
I suspect his real name Johnny Donny but he jazzed it up. We need an Italian name in our squad - for that reason alone he should sign for us. I've watched him these last 25 years and he's brilliant.
Whether you're joking or not, can we just nip this one in the bud now? United sell shirts anyway. They are also paid handsomely by Adidas to wear them, to the tune of £75 million a year for the next ten years. So, should Ronaldo sign and then people who have already got a United shirt go out and buy another because they just have to have it with Ronaldo on the back, the main beneficiary is Adidas. So all this, "United will make the money back in two weeks in shirts sales alone (mega cliche alert)", is utter ****ing bollocks. Unless of course Adidas can find in the region of 30 million shirts with the name Ronaldo on the back in a two week period, a very small slice of which United will then benefit from.
Ronaldo is an absolute beast of a marketing tool, he'd defo pay for himself here. Forget about shirt sales, the sponsorship deals that follow the man around are all huge money contracts. There's more to that Pogba deal than we realise, the fact that he works so closely with Adidas and they're our kit suppliers in that mega deal, isn't a coincidence. Ronaldo's the same, money will come to United to pay for that guy to be here, because his audience is staggering, even at £150m it's an absolute no-brainer.
