<peacedove>Referees have been ordered by Fifa to add on the time taken for goal celebrations to stoppage-time at the end of each half of a match.
The new protocol will be enforced at the Confederations Cup, which begins on Saturday, with the governing body wanting it to be adopted worldwide.

Standard thirty seconds but is rarely added. All too often we she a game that ends 3-3 with only a couple of minutes added on

Often when a goal is scored by a trailing team they pick it out of the net and run back to the centre, which restarts play faster than if it had gone out for a goal kick.

Managers are now going to caution their players not to waste too much time celebrating goals.

it should have been as game is stopped.

but i think they should just take it all off ref and have whistle off time off rule and just be done with it.

same as rugby everyone knows where tey stand at end and it'd end time wasting subs at end of a game too.

I like the system as it is. Adds a little bit of unpredictability and tension in a close match.

Nah, just gives people the chance to whinge about "Fergie time" when their own team don't play to the final whistle.

I have always said the clock should stop for every stoppage including throw-ins and dead ball kicks. We pay for 90 mins we should get 90 mins.

    That really wouldn't bother me.
I never cut my life into 1,2 or 3 hour chunks, if I am going to do something I enjoy it takes as long as it takes.
Never plan another activity after going fishing or to a match, you just never know what can develop, the fishing might be great all day, your mates might decide to go for a drink after the match, anything :emoticon-0100-smile

    not sure
    a) Police view it like that
    b) TV companies
    c) the local authorities
    d) supporters intending to get the last train

do you want me to go on ?
i assume not since you're clearly not serious

None of that would be my problem, I would set out to watch the game and stay until the end. Do you think we should do away with extra time and penalties for those reasons?

Mourinho teams would be banned from late kick offs otherwise they'd go past midnight
