Us offering him as free for somebody else to sign is completely immaterial. He wouldn't walk away from the contract that we pay him now. Nobody else is going to match that. The 'other players' you reference who found other clubs when free were out of contract. Marshall has ****ing years left on big money. From what I saw of Marshall the sooner he leaves the better for everyone. Is McGregor still on our books looking at the squad profiles on the City website he's not included. If Jak goes we will definitely need a new keeper.
Glad i wasn't the only one. I was hoping Silva didn't stay after that, he got it massively wrong in our last three games when it was in our hands and playing Marshall in the last game when we were already down was disgusting IMO. The jak should have definitely been playing. Having said all that Marshall was a good keeper at Cardiff and i've no doubt he will be again but it was sheer madness to pay £5mil for him. People have very short memories, as a keeper myself one mistake and it usually results in a goal. Jak v sheff wed/soton Mac in europe, and plenty of other games. Marshall wasn't at fault for most of the goals shipped in but his confidence looked absolutely shot and looked as though he didn't want to be out there.
