    Talk of scrapping 45 min halves, replacing them with 30 minute ones where the clock stops whenever the ball goes out of play.

    No thanks. Though I would accept 45 minute halves and the clock stops every time the ball is out of play.

    Why would it have to change ot 30?

    If we're having the 'stopped clock' idea, no reason we can't still have 45 mins for a half.

    Advertisers (and Americans) have always hated the 45min half. I think for a while back in the 70s there was a silly attempt (in the USA of course) to introduce three 25min um, thirds.

    Mind you I'm still in shock over the changes to offside and passing back to the 'keeper.
