Aha! Didn't realise you'd tweeted it. Does that mean Billy can sue you now, or did you have his permission?
Not one of the Twitterati myself Ell, excellent advert for a positive Leeds fraternity. Now WTF do we do with Glory before the new influx arrives...
Juventus the only one who doesn't play in a city with the same name as the club. Yes Ajax Amsterdam is there full name.
The thing with DOF is it's a perfectly sensible way to run a modern football club... there are so many off field considerations to deal with. The downside to it is all the key players need to be singing from the same hymnsheet. It doesn't always happen. Orta is the BIG question mark in this set up based on his time at Boro. He didn't stick to his remit and divided the dressing room if what we hear is true. Let's hope it isn't or that he's learnt his lesson.
Orta needs to be looked at in terms of Sevilla ... Radz wants to mirror the Sevilla culture and philosophy, and they have an excellent track record of scouting fantastic young talent worldwide and then grooming them to play the Sevilla way ... this blueprint has served them well the problem with Boro is that they have no long term vision, and no actual footballing philosophy ... when Karanka tried to instil his philosphy on them, the donkey British players rebelled and tried to get Karanka sacked in their promotion season ... people can point a finger at Orta and say he didn't recruit properly at Boro, but then again who ever did? players aren't queueing up to go and play at the Riverside, and you can't blame them ... Boro will always struggle to sign top class players because they are a nothing club in the global scale of football today ... Huddersfield will find the same thing Radz has a clear plan, and he is starting to take steps in the right direction ... finally we can look forward with optimism Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I'm reading all your comments, don't believe a word but they're a great cure for depression What meds are you on?
Well Billy, time will tell. As I said in the other thread your glass half full approach is commendable. I'm glad you're not concerned that his efforts in English football didn't live up to his previous reputation. The facts, without excuses, of his signings at boro aren't pretty. Maybe the dressing room issues were the fault of the donkey English players... here's the picture painted by the local rag... https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.ga...ews/inside-story-victor-orta-how-13090744.amp I've never met the guy and haven't followed his career. I hope you're right and they're wrong!
It's certainly not the article I'd like to read, but do we really think that Radz has gone in blindly and employed this guy without getting his back story? At the very least, I would hope that Radz gave him a very awkward and thorough interview & made him explain himself. I would also be very surprised if Radz hadn't spoken to Gibson. TC managed to do an in depth assessment of our players before his interview. Do you think he wouldn't have done the same on his (possibly problematic) new boss? I would be very surprised if he hadn't, and will have ensured that there were well understood boundaries & lines not to be crossed before he took the job. Gibson was not clear about what the problems were, but this article seems to suggest it's all down to one guy. When I read Gibson's statement, I got the impression it was a collective fcukup, of which he was a part himself. It look like the knives may have been out, and they managed to find a fall guy to perhaps paper over some cracks they on't want to reveal. I really can't see the same situation happen again if Radz & TC have done their homework correctly & agreed the format of their new working relationships. Fingers crossed! I've tried to be objective as possible with this post, but acknowledge I might be a little over-optimistic (as usual).
