Where would you play him, centre half? Marshall is more than good enough for the championship. His confidence was shattered playing in a team getting beat week in week out, Jak took his chance well. We have 4 keepers at the club, cashing in on one isn't a bad thing
And before any Lester ****s claim sour grapes, I've been posting that Jak should be the one to go since the day we got relegated.
Fair one, but with us rebuilding a team we need cash and can't afford to lose money. I would rather cash in on Jak, and develop Mannion, who I think could become a quality keeper. With a solid team in front of him and a good pre season I am sure Marshall will be fine at this level
Would be sorry to lose the Jak, his character will really me missed in the dressing room and on the terraces. However we have too many keepers, and McGregor who seems to have found his confidence again whilst being at Cardiff could be the number one. It will me interesting how Mannion gets on, he is still young but is improving rapidly. Having said all that Marshall is still not a bad keeper and in the championship more than capable.
Lets build for the future. Mannion in goal next season if he's so highly rated. Get rid of Robertson if he wants to leave. Do whatever possible to get Tymon on a long contract and start him. These relegation clauses sometimes do more damage than good. Yes we have a manageable wage bill but at what expense? These days you can afford to go down with PL wages because of the parachute payments. Then you will always sell a couple but you can decide who to keep and for what price to sell.
Since we signed Marshall for 5m I'd want at least that for jak assuming he has no release clause. In reality I think we'll be lucky if we get the price you've quoted
