I'm not sure we would get Belloti. Many clubs are in for him. But if we can pull it off, we would be very competitive for the new season with deep enough squad for CL.

 

I think Belotti might be a signing too many. Hard to bring in two strikers in the same window and have them both perform well. If we bring in both Morata and Belotti it almost guarantees one of them will struggle for chances, goals and game time at the expense of the other.

 

Or we could hit gold again as we did with the Cole and Yorke partnership

 

Didn't sign them in the same window though. Cole had four seasons to bed in, and overcome his initial issues, before Yorke joined. I think if we signed them at the same time then Cole would have struggled even more at first and the partnership wouldn't have been as strong.

Remember SAF tried to swap Cole for Shearer back in 96, and everyone thought he would be sold when Yorke arrived. Wasn't like he was an instant success by any measure.

 

Celtic are interested in signing Januzaj - does he have any value any more or should you just get rid?

Sounds a lot, but not when you consider that Zlatan is now off the wage bill.

 

Not that outrageous when Roo is on £250K/week playing only once in while.
