Looks like a deal will go through soon for Beckford to go to Leicester City for around £3m. Sad, we couldn't keep him and now couldn't afford his personal assistant salary never mind his own!
We dont want him, just paper talk. Yakubu, Roque Santa Cruz and Nicky Maynard are our targets. Everton wouldnt sell Beckford anyway, he had a decent season last year
I'd have Beckford over Yakubu or Maynard, but like you I can't see Everton selling him, he scored 8 goals in a team struggling for goals despite not playing regularly. You'd have a good player though, but he needs someone alongside him.
Inside info from me, I have several contacts at Everton FC and this is not just media talk, the offer has been made and now it is up to Beckford. Everton have advised him they will sell him for the right offer and this is what they have done with the Leicester offer.
Why would they sell him? They have like 2 strikers and they're always injured. He had a good season last year, and will improve again this year.
Sorry mate i sat next to moyes the season they were after him and he said to me that hes been after beckford for over a year and the fact his individual goal against chelsea was good enough and better than any of there strikers they have on the books.
I can't understand anybody wanting to go there - drove through the town centre once and it made some of the ****-holes in London look good. Best thing that could happen to Leicester would be a ****ing great nuke! Just in case you Leicester people feel I'm being unfair...there are plenty of other places that need the same improvement.
I meant from a purely footballing perspective. Why would any player playing regularly in the first team of an established premier league club want to go to Leicester? seriously?
I dont think he will come but Everton are desperate to get rid of some people to get some in maybe they will sacrifice Beckford. I think he is a cheaper alternative to Nicky Maynard. Do you think he will score 20+ goals in this league
We has the ability to score a goal from nothing and thats what makes players like him exciting to watch and why the cost so much money. Do you think you did the right think in running his contract down and letting him leave for nothing or do you wish you sold him when you had the chance
they way u lot are going you will need a bigger team bus...... not sure buying anybody and everybody will get you promoted though... All the team are going to love having a pop at you and your team of all stars....
People will be leaving soon. Steve Howard is leaving, Matt Oakley, Bruno Berner, Martyn Waghorn, Franck Moussa will all probaly leave aswell
hope Leicester ****ty sign him, then when it all goes tits up in a couple of months, he can come back to us for **** all! looks like the stadium trick is going to back fire as they wont get away with paying **** loads to sponsor the crisp box tin pot football ground to cover the turnover percentage required! ha ha silly foxes!
