First time I got made redundant I thought I was getting a week of my wages for every year I'd been there. I didn't realise it was ****ing capped at a level well below my weekly wage. The bastards.

Same here mate. They will only give me the statutory limit. The 10 minutes I was away an agency have given me 2 jobs to go for. 1 is for similar pay so that would be good but downside is it's only a fixed contract. Well chuffed atm though lads + ladies 4 of these now time to dad dance.

I always make this point to people who whinge and moan about it. Fact is, people aroudn the world pay this much money to watch football so the footballers take their share. They pay a **** load of tax. Take their wages off them sure you can make up the shortfall if you like? Never gets a reply, just a grumble.
