Dawson was an unnecessary signing IMO, SB saw he was available & went all football manager mode, signing "a name"! I like Daws, but when he came in, Davies was never the same player that season & we got relegated. Daws is still a decent player, but he's too slow even in the Championship.
Totally agree. We need an entirely new defence in my opinion. Hopefully the rumoured interest in Kalas comes to fruition.
I disagree with the idea Daws is a poor signing. Mcguire has developed into a proper defender by working alongside him, Robbo too. Davies drop in form was down to Davies and no one else. Daws will be fine in the championship, just need to pair him with some pace (such as Kalas). We also need some experience if we are going to bring in a lot of youth, Daws will be invaluable for this
Do you read what you've actually posted above? This is what you posted "Perhaps Harry was a little 'raw' and needed time to learn his trade. If he'd thrown him straight into the team he could have seriously struggled and never recovered. It happens all the time." Using words like perhaps and could is just so you can argue both ways. Basically, you thought he was too raw and shouldn't have played
I absolutely categorically did not say he was too raw. I said perhaps because it might be what the manager thought. I haven't got a clue if he was too raw cos we never saw him play. Stop putting words in my mouth / posts.
From someone who watched Fulham a lot last season, he isn't that enthusiastic about Kalas, so hopefully we bring in a few CBs and aren't relying on him and Dawson to carry us through.
Yes, that's exactly what to do. When this happens to me, I immediately start beginning to type but then think "**** it, what's the point" and just delete it all.
