I'll give you an example, Eidur Gudjohnsen, I genuinely thought he was English when I was growing up, He spoke Fluent English as well, I didn't know until about 13-14 years ago that he was from Iceland.

There was a phone call on talksport about 15 years ago from s scottish guy complaining that the Scotland manager was always ignoring Antti Neimi (the Southampton keeper). Biggest surprise for me, Matth, was Haruki Nakamura. Not only does it turn out that the bloke's Japanese and not English, but he doesn't play soccer. He plays American NFL football. Unbelievable.
Famous rapper John Barnes, he could have fooled you he was English, especially when he was trotting around in an England jersey. And Raheem Sterling, same thing, although he's not a great rapper like Barnzy.
Eider Gudjohnsen? The name didn't give it away? I remember thinking why doesn't Mark Hughes play for England when I was like 10. But I was 10, and his name was Mark Hughes. But Eider Gudjohnsen? FFS Matth
