What's the deal with Brian Lenihan? Why does he never play , has he been permanently injured since signing - I forgot he existed until I just read the first post on this thread , why has he got a new deal?

I think it you take a couple of days and really apply yourself, even you could figure out what the post actually says.

it says that we have let a ****-load go, but we haven't really got replacements yet, but as the window hasn't even opened yet, I am not worried.
SO I guess you are just being petty (as per usual)

Ridiculous? 12 million plus add ons? Keanes being banded about at 30 million. We've got a good deal here make no mistake Decent price for Hull too, both parties should be happy

I'm guessing by that reply that you don't think that things get more expensive by 7% each year.

I'll 100% be putting money on us finishing above both next season.

Everton are losing Lukaku and that's an absolute 100% definite so that's them instantly screwed. Think about it from a football point of view, take Leicester out of it and tell me what you think is going to happen when they lose his 25 goals? You know how hard it is to sign a striker who will score 15-20 goals a season let alone 25 and the sum of money needed to sign someone like that is astronomical. You're talking £100m for Kane and Lukaku a
Nah I'll carry on supporting the same club I have done since 1979/80 cheers, I just can't be arsed to change my name. got better things to do.

I dont mean getting Maguire years ago. I mean someone of his stature in the game wouldnt have cost nowhere near £17M

If it's 12 million Ehab will be absolutely delighted. Just over the 10 million pound thresh old. Unbelievable!

I agree, it's totally ****ed up - from top to bottom of professional football.

Someone was talking 15m for Chris Wood. Or if you want to take a punt on a Div 4 scorer, you're probably talking a few million. Mental.

Yeah but at that time there wasn't this unbelievable television deal that made ever Premier League club one of the top 30 richest clubs in the world.

If Pickford is worth 30m, then Harry is worth at least 20m flat

Years ago. As in when premier league clubs got about 25% of the cash they do now, when every £ was more valuable than it is today.

Yes prices have gone crazy but they've stayed in line with the ever increasing crazy amounts of money being pumped into the game.

Which is making the game go beyond mad

Instead of making the game more affordable for fans its just driving even more greed

£17M for a decent young centre half is absurd. For that price you should be looking at a proven international defender. Not someone never even called up
