1 good game means **** all, he's been poor. However if Utd wake up to the fact that he's a lazy attacking midfielder and need cover in behind him they may get the best out of him.
No irony, I think he's a good player if played as an attacking midfielder. The deeper role he plays at Utd doesn't suit him. He needs to be given freedom to play so you need a Vidal type in behind to win the ball for him.
He certainly played well in that friendly against an experimental England side Matthew ... but he'll only be shoving things down his critics throats when he does something similar when it really matters, I'm afraid buddy
Matth, Fosse gave an honest opinion that I guess is shared by many, including Utd fans. When he does it consistently for both club and country it might be worth a discussion, but at the moment he looks bang average.
Indeed ... I'd have been saying that he didn't play well insteadof that he did play well ... but it would still have been in a friendly buddy
Henderson has got to be one of the worst captains of club and country I think I can remember. They went from Steven Gerrard who was Liverpool through and through, a colossus on the pitch and a world class leader of men, to this divkid. He's perfected shouting "Ey", from 40 yards away at the ref, with his neck on full Stretch Armstrong and to be fair to him he's perfected the raking 5 yarder, but I can't imagine how deflating it must be for their fans to go from a local hero to a complete nobody.
Against possibly the poorest side ever to reach a European final? Nah, that won't work. He may turn out to be worth every penny of his absurd fee. But until he does, fans of every other club in the country are entitled to laugh at Utd . I mean fuxake, how much? After they let him go for what?
Oh that ... the European Reparcharge trophy against the Dutch kids side? ... the point still stands then
That's convenient then innit. Poor sides, we can only beat what's put in front of us, such as the **** that was put in front of us in the League Cup Final too. A trophy is a trophy and somebody has to step up to the plate and win it in the final. If you're obsessing over the price, then I can see why you'd want more from him. Perhaps if we'd never sold him you'd look at him as a footballer and not a price tag.
