3 league titles, a couple of cups and 12 Sweden caps as well.

It's the 12 Sweden caps that swung it for me <laugh><laugh>

So 3 league titles in Portugal where only two teams have won the title in the last 10 years? ... cups as well ... and he has a dozen caps for Sweden who only managed to qualify for the last Euros via the play-offs? (although their world cup qualification isn't going badly ... thanks to Hugo Lloris <laugh>)

At this point Matthew, I think Ray has a valid point tbf ...

If he had signed for Liverpool mate I think you would be agreeing with everything that Ray Wilkins has said .<laugh>

.. but he could turn out t be an inspired signing, who knows?<ok>

  4. "Every waking hour" Bluey said, having only just woken up!
    <laugh>

Utterly unbelievable, but strangely hilarious, at the same time!

  5. That's a bit harsh, Matth.

All of us make mistakes; that doesn't mean that we aren't right some of the time.

    To err is human.

  6. Ah, see, that's a shame.

An unnecessary and snide dig at Spurs, again.

Up to that point, I was quite enjoying your post, mate.

  7. Look, I wouldn't usually do this, but as you seem to be making a concerted effort to better your grasp of English grammar and sentence-construction I am prepared to offer a modicum of tuition.

With a little bit of thought, we can adjust the construction of this sentence to remove the double-use of "point."

    Consider this example:

"Up to this point, Matthew, Ray Wilkins' argument is perfectly valid."

See if you can find more examples, Fosse, and put them into daily practice.

No, I do not expect any gratitude! The mere fact that I have been of help is its own reward.

Perhaps you weren't aware??? ... plus it wasn't a dig at Spurs ... it was an observation about the French goalkeeper

    GOAL! Sweden 2-1 France (Toivonen)
INCREDIBLE! HUGO LLORIS WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!

It's the last kick of the game and Ola Toivonen has just scored from inside his own half! Hugo Lloris shanks a punt upfield straight into the path of Toivonen, who hits it first time from inside his own half with Lloris way off his line, and the ball sails into the empty net.
Wow! What a way to win a football match. What a way to go top of your qualifying group.

  11. Just because you work as a clerk in the post-room of an accountancy practice does not mean that you have anything other than a fleeting acquaintance with the Queen's grammar, Nigel. Printing labels is not the same as writing poems.
