When Massa went out , the mood dropped a bit !

But it all worked out in the end .

Was surprised Stroll kept it on the tarmac. He looked like an accident waiting to happen.

It will be interesting to see if this boosts his confidence , though seeing him interviewed afterwards , I don't think he is lacking in confidence at all !

At the beginning of the season , I felt he needed time . I am pleased for him and the team ,but if he fails in the next 3 or 4 races , then yes , he is out of his depth .

I thought it was interesting that at my visit to the HQ , the girl said Stroll senior paid for the latest simulator , if Lance leaves , Williams can buy it , at a reduced rate .

For British Lions lovers, a second defeat in four matches, 23-22 to the Highlanders. The surprise was that they outscored a New Zealand team by 3 tries to 2. If the Lions are to have any chance of winning these tests, they are going to have to keep it tight up front and be ultra sure with the ball in hand when it is flung out wide. I shall look forward to seeing the highlights on YouTube within hours of the match finishing.

Shouldn't even count on Mayweather's record. I would fancy a boxer ranked about 20th in the world to batter an MMA fighter in a boxing match, let alone one of the best of all time.

Boxing - Mayweather wins. MMA - McGregor wins. Fair enough if people don't take it seriously, but this is just a cash cow.

If Wiightman had been in the final of last year's 1500m for men at the Olympics and run that time, he would have won by around 130m!

I do take notice of the times in these events - generally in the 3.31 - 3.39. I think it lends subtstance to my view that the 1500m final race at the 2016 Olympics should have been declared null and void for a winning time of 3.51. Maybe the Olympic authorities should announce that if the winner is outside 3.35, then the race is void as all the finalists are easily capable of running within that time.

Ominous if you ask me! Actually I am looking forward to seeing the All Blacks and their exciting brand of rugby, Who cannot, but love the All Blacks for the wonderful rugby they serve up?

Let's hope for good dry conditions next week in the first test so that we can see expansive rugby with lots of tries. I feel the Lions might be slightly stronger in the forwards than NZ, but I would hate to see the game where it is slowed down where the NZ backs hardly get a sniff of the ball. Get the ball to Beaudan Barrett and see what that wizard can do.

Where to watch it? I may have to drive into Palma and take a morning breakfast there. I can quite happily miss a WC football final but to see NZ in full flow is something different. Unmissable.

Well done to Scotland. That is no mean achievement. Hope the SAFFAS have stuffed the French.

I have just seen extended highlights of New Zealand v England in the Under 20 World Cup RU tournament. NZ vastly superior in their handling and running skills. England played in a stereotypical manner than is all too commonly seen in the 6 Nations. When in possession they are all lined up to take to take a pass, the ball is then passed to a prop or second row making what, 2 metres of territory. With NZ it is quick, sucking in defenders but keeping that ball alive so it is then whipped out quickly for another assault on the defence. Result - England's pack are being pulled all over the place. To my mind it is rugby that is utterly compelling to watch.
