Yeah, righto. I've got season tickets for me and my two sons and we're on holiday for the first three weekends of the season so hopefully two will be away and the home one will be Stoke or someone.
We'll probably get a promoted team at home, I'd go with Huddersfield. City will stuff the living daylights out of a team like Palace and Pep will get knighted for being the greatest ever manager after spending 11 Trillion quid.
Swansea. Haven't got the time or inclination to go up to watch United every other week! I haven't got that to go watch Swansea every other week either but my boys want to go and I can get others to take them when I can't. I'll do most of them though.
You will note the speculative language in which I have couched my posts. It is to ensure that there can never be any hauntings. I'm sure that you will bear that in mind, should you have cause to revisit your bookmarks, Pix.
What I like about it is that it is very kid orientated. There are loads of children there (and women!!) getting into football, which is great. It's still more adult at United, which is also good but in a different way. I prefer going to watch United with mates, it's a more serious affair!
And some right nasty characters around the ground looking for bother, have to be careful going back to the car.
Outside of obvious London rivals, Stoke have been the nastiest bunch I've come across. ****ers threw a bottle at my cousin who at the time was only 16 or 17, luckily hit him on the shoulder and never smashed so no real harm done, I ended up lobbing half my can of Stella and a burger I'd taken just one bite of back at them in return, had a load of burger sauce in it too so whoever it hit wouldn't have been happy. That was pre-match, then after the game when I was on the train home, my mate got a call saying they'd thrown pints out of one of their pubs hitting some Spurs fans in which women and children were part of the crowd. Horrible bastards, the fact they look like extras from the Walking Dead makes it even worse.
East Anglia derby was the worst I've been to at both grounds, really ****ing hate each other and don't really advertise it but on match days back 20 years ago it was carnage, got into fights with other groups in both games I went to. Got sucker punched from behind outside a pub and got a bit of a kicking at Ipswich.
I always hope we play a couple of top teams in our first 4 or 5 games , catch them figuring things out early and maybe grab some points early with some big teams out of the way . I hate playing promoted teams early , bananaskinitis
I've never been part of the firm or anything, my uncle was a well known member in the 70s and 80s but it's not really interested me to follow suit, I know a few in and around the firm these days, including a lot of the younger lads but the scraps I've been in have just generally been fuelled by too much alcohol before or after a game.
