I have never heard anyone outside of this forum refer to Spurs or its supporters as "spuds."

I once mentioned this term to a Chelsea-supporting mate of mine, and he looked at me as though I had just slipped my cock into his hand.

What the Hell does the humble potato have to do with the mighty Spurs? The answer, of course, is "absolutely nothing!" It came about because some juvenile thought to himself, "Spurs sounds a bit like spuds! and spuds are little, like Spurs! Let's call Spurs spuds!" and off he chortled before, no doubt, having another **** in his mother's bathroom.

Some of the more pathetic among you have even made reference to "spuds" in your tags or signatures. I believe one particular twat has "roasted spuds" underneath his avatar! <doh>

My point is, that it was a very juvenile and extremely poor "joke" that has long-since passed its sell-by date. Isn't is about time that some of you got a grip and matured a little?

Please, no wumming on this issue. Serious debate only, please. Thank you.
You silly Spud...

Did HIAG seriously just write the words, "Isn't it time to grow up ffs!" ??

FFS HIAG <doh>

From anyone else I might have taken this request seriously.......

It's just one of those stupid ****ing things you will have to live with.
Most nicknames make no sense

Manure <doh>
Spammers <doh>

Though i did quite like "L'Arse", when the Gooners were full of Frenchmen <laugh>

Case in point, Chelsea.....
Our nicknames are either the Chavs, or Chelski.

Neither of which make any sense since "Ski" is a polish suffix, and our owner is not Polish.
And Chavs are from East London, where as Chelsea is in South West London.

But you don't hear us complaining about it.....much :p

I might need some clarification on this but I think some Man Utd fans think the term 'Manure' is extremely distasteful.

Anyway trust you to take this seriously, FFS <doh>
