Let Dawson go and give Slutsky the money to spend on the type of player he prefers. The players Silva brought in were picked to do the jobs he wanted and to a great extent that's what they did. To be fair most of the existing players also adapted well, but the defence couldn't get their heads around zonal marking and that was a major handicap. A manager has more chance if he's working with his own team / squad, so now we have a new broom we need to trust him and back him even if it means losing a few favourites.
Me and three mates went to a Christmas fancy dress party a few years ago dressed as Droogs. Got mistaken for Morris dancers. I **** you not.
Can't help thinking that if Silva had played Tom immediately after his red card suspension we would have remained In PL
Hull City are interested in signing Burnley midfielder Scott Arfield this summer, for £2.5m, according to reports. The Sun claim the Tigers are one of three clubs to want the Canadian international, along with Premier League side West Bromwich Albion and Fulham.
What are peoples thoughts on mulgrew? Arfield would be a good quality signing for us, as the paper says scores alot in the championship and can be classed as a top end championship player, good maloney replacement and versatile Ive not seen a great deal of mulgrew , at 31 he'd bring some much needed experiance to replace davies but then you see he played for a relegated team, although i dont think blackburn always conceded alot of goals
This summer gives us a chance to completely overhaul the squad and take it in a completely new/different direction. So far we've been linked with Arfield, Windass and Mulgrew. I can barely contain my excitement.
Windass and Mulgrew have only actually been linked on HITC, I can get them to run Defoe to City story if it would make you feel better?
Indeed, for me it's got that feeling of when Parkinson took other and similarly i suspect it'll either be brilliant or a car crash. I really can see no in between or dull mid table mediocrity. On the plus side The Slut is in early whereas Adam pissed about with Parky for about 2 months.
Nice one, it's not about big names. I'd happily see us linked to a good up and coming League 1/2 player that we can develop and make big bucks on. Ollie Watkins at Exeter would be a cracking, not sure whether £4m is out of budget though. Che Adams at Birmingham is another who's half decent and also Gallagher from Saints who was on loan at Blackburn. I'd much rather be going for these sort of players instead of players like Arfield, Mulgrew and Windass who are bang average.
