We started the tournament as 22/1 outsiders It did, funnily enough, Lewis Cook got the same amount of assists in his 4 starts after Wilshere was injured than Jack did all season. Cook is a cracking player, but didn't have his greatest game today though
Absolutely fantastic. So nice to see an England team seemingly play with so much passion and heart. Makes me feel a bit more confident of the future. Also, the senior Venezuela side are going to be a great team in a few years.
Great start to a Sunday, well done the lads! Also good example of technology over the penalty. They said it took 38 secs to resolve it.
Classic BCC. I imagine if we ever won the World Cup or Euros he'd say "Well, all the big teams played much worse this time around than normal"...
We were using one of our strikers again to take corners. What is the ****ing point of that except it makes it easier for the defenders to defend? Whoops wrong thread.
Why would I say that? When have I ever said that in the past? And I probably wouldn't be watching to be honest. England football team mean as much to me as UCLA's lacrosse team.
I'd agree that he wasn't as potent going forward but I thought he was great at breaking up play and setting attacks away. He didn't need to be the attacking playmaker today as he had Onomah playing alongside him, he had to be more disciplined.
What people also forget is that we were many players. Robert He's had Onomah alongside him all tournament apart from the odd exception. Never stopped him in other games
How would the game restart had the decision been reversed? It changes the whole flow of the game. It's pants.
