We need to make the PERFECT appointment, Not only for the fans but for the team too.. The players NEED to believe in the club again.
Double agree with this, but hard to do. Puel ticked the boxes and tbf he did do most of what he was asked apart from entertain. For various reasons, we don't like most available managers and then we attach ourselves emotionally to one based on rumour and get really cross when he turns out not to be a target. We never learn.
If we could get him, I think Tuchel would be, but he'd bugger off to Arsenal in two years, so it depends if we can cope with that (I can).
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/06/10/chelsea-close-ontiemoue-bakayoko-monaco-transfer/ Bakayoko (??) to join Chelsea.
Man, Monaco is being ripped apart.. and we complain about Southampton. A champions league team can't even keep their stars.
Not Hugh Cornwell then.? Bonnie Tyler needed a hero, apparently. I wonder if she still does. I'll go and check.... Yep, still does. Shows that they're a rare commodity.
There may not be one. This is why the club are up against it if fans are expecting he perfect manager. I'd take an unknown Argentinian, just sacked from his last job, a physio who hadn't even survived in the championship, or maybe even a former player who hadn't succeeded outside his home Dutchland before....
http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...e-Premier-League-Transfer-News-Rumours-Gossip Chelsea said to be unhappy about Liverpool's signing of Dominic Solanke...suspecting that they were in talks with the player before it was permitted. Can't see this going anywhere....just one club miffed at another. Solanke was always going to be free...unless Chelsea think he might have re-signed for them given time. Can't say I blame the player....Chelsea are notorious for stockpiling players.
