Latest 2 players linked, or re-linked with us in Gordons case.

Reports today suggesting Celtic have been in contact with Sunderland in regards to the availability of Scotlands number one. No fee has been agreed as of yet and Gordon is yet to return to full fitness following an injury he suffered in April which could be a stumbling block for any transfer.

Idrissou is a Cameroon international who has arrived on trial from German club Borussia Monchengladbach. He will train for a few days to allow Lennon to have a good look at him. He has previously watched by Lennon so there could be something in this if he impresses.

His goalscoring record doesn't look to good (looking at fm11). Its a mirror image of Fortune tbh and the stats on their also suggest he is similar busy, physical player who is probably ****e infront of goal!

I know Zaluska is a bit dodgy but im afraid Gordon wouldnt be a much better option (plus the fee and wages issue)... As for the other dude, looks ****e - we need more quality than that!

Gordon is far better than anything we have or been linked with. I don't know about the money side, Lenny has been first class in the market so I trust if we have X amount to get a keeper and striker Lenny will get it right.

Never heard of the striker so can't comment

Gordon is far and above a better keeper than Zaluska, there is no doubting that at all. The best I can see there though is a loan deal for a year or so to get him fit and playing, and that will just leave us in the exact same position again this time next year.

I heard that Mohamadou Idrissou is a big Celtic fan and used to listen to Celtics Rogan & Co on clyde 1 in between hunting rhinos when he was a kid in Cameroon.

If Craig Gordon can stay fit he'd be miles better than Zaluska - but it s abig if given his recent history. Not sure when he's next fit either - so if not going to be for a while then whats the point brining him in on loan? If we buy him outright then we can give him a bit of time to get fit - but why pick up all or part of his wages for him to be on the treatment table til xmas?

no idea about the other one. We have Samaras and Murphy at the club who are strikers who dont score enough goals - so why do we need another one?

However with Hooper out i dont see the harm in us chucking Rasmussen into a few games. For whatever reason Lenny doesnt fancy him - but the **** has a history of scoring goals. team player or not i cant say - but sometimes at home in the SPl a team player isnt always a necessity

Gordon is back training this week apparently so will not be fully fit just yet.

Agree with Rasmussen getting a shot but hardly featured pre-season so wont be anywhere near match fit & Samaras, Maloney & Murphy will be ahead of him

The pole has gone to Genk I think.

Cudicini was also mentioned yesterday, must admit he would be choice out of those mentioned. Best keeper in the EPL till Cech came!

Spurs have Gomes & Friedel somay fancy getting a few games before he retires!

I agree - as a short term keeper he'd be ideal. I always thought he was very good and im shocked that prick Redknapp persists with Gomes over him to be honest.

Cudicini has refused to move unless spurs made up the difference in the wages, don't know how much that is. Has he played since his crash? Two broken wrists are bound to have made a difference, I had to change my technique for wiping my arse when I broke mine.

TTC - he has played for them since the crash.

First I heard was on here after I wrote this thread so not sure how accurate it is or how advanced it was.

Gordon is injury prone sure enough.
But most Celtic fans would have given their left hand to got Shay (money-grabber) Givens who is also injury prone.
Givens played at the weekend and is now injured again.
Its a gamble who you buy, probably our three best players all injured. Two accidental. However that b Houston sent
his players out to destroy Brown and others.
