Sizing when I was talking about Clive Brittain earlier that was one of his two who won so nicely at Beverley, the only thing about the pair is that I am wary about taking that Beverley form too seriously because the ground was rather bad that day. They also came down what perhaps was the best area of ground so could be a little flattered. That said I think it has a great chance of following up in what looks a modest race. I quite like Mangham in the race but I will be just watching (well I won't as I have to go and have a sodding MRI Scan)

Gaz, also when was the last time Mel was in form? Him and Berry are recovering from their positions next to Larry in my list of can't train for fudge. Shame the same can't be said for the lovely Ann!
It's a desparate day up here again and the racing looks dire! I do like the look of 2 though and 2 that I will be watching the market for: 245 Muss: Sandwith ran well at Catterick (what a lovely racecourse and superb placepot payer ) on Friday and could win today, nice EW bet. 820Kemp: Accustomed was beaten by a Mark Johnston hotpot LTO but is well bred and ran OK, another nice EW shot. 2 to watch the market are: 620Kemp: Novirak makes debut for Skeletor and if the money comes.......... 720Kemp: Favourite should win for Sir Mark but if it doesnt get home then Andrew Baldings well related Polytrack type Cherry Street would be a nice priced winner. He is, 3% strike rate on turf this season says it all. 4 wins this season with all the horses he has is a shocking statistic, put that into context Mel had a treble at Beverley last week and he trains monkeys and dogs in general. Or for even more effect - Andrew Haynes has had 17 winners on turf and Attwater has even had the same amount of turf winners as Clive!!!
Nass: That Dr Red Eye would have a great chance dropped into a claimer but Bolodenka won sooooo easily LTO and has winning course form and Hanagan the managan riding! Could be the FC though

If I had the money he has behind him I would win more than that amount of races in 40 years of training. The fact remains in the last five seasons he has a strike rate of 8%, and he hasn't made the most out of the backing by Saeed Manana. All you have to do is look at the comparitive records of him and John Dunlop to see what I am talking about. They have been training for the same sort of timescales and John is still producing winners (32 this season) from a similar sort of team.
