Corbyn is appealing to those with least life experience and using tuition fees as a carrot.
    Cynical in the extreme .
I sure talked some **** when I was young (and still do) , thank **** it was at a time when people were generous enough to cut me some slack with my views, and gently ignore me instead of lying to me that my youthful callow opinions held some weight.

Why don't grossly overpaid university lecturers take a pay cut? Maybe the tuition fees would be realistic then?
I don't trust all these young people suddenly 'motivated' to vote.

Will we see the OAPS wheeled out at the next election to balance it all out?

The real proof would come if/when they one day come to power. Its ok protesting all your life its what you do when you actually become the man that has to make real choices.

People of all political persuasion swallow what they want to believe.
Plenty swallowed the EU vote con on the side of the Bus then got told it wasn't true after the event.

I think the Blair/brown tenure was a decent barometer of what to expect? But all the lefties on here don't Seem to want to talk about that? Anyone found the weapon of mast destruction yet? And the famous good luck note on their exit!

I would argue that Corbyn appeals to the young because he shows compassion, tolerance and empathy towards others. In this increasingly bitter environment, this is what people are drawn to, the young in particular.

And you're certain that mental issues don't play a part for them? People are like they are for a reason.

I think young people just woke up to the fact that they got shafted over Brexit, and that the Tory's had no plans to engage them going forward.

I'd guess that the tuition fees proposal appealed more to young peoples parents than to the young people themselves, me included.

My wife's a uni lecturer and I can state with absolute certainty that neither she or the majority of her colleagues are grossly overpaid. Especially the ones who can only get short term contracts, say 6 months at a go. `Sure you get the odd one who's worked the system better than anyone else but show me an industry where that isn't the case.
